Qwen Image 2.1 is a later Qwen image route than Qwen Image 2512. It still starts from a text prompt, and it adds a wider reference edit, 1K or 2K output, and an optional transparent background. The workspace on this site generates with Qwen Image 2512.
This button opens the Qwen Image 2512 workspace on this site. It does not switch the generator to Qwen Image 2.1.
What changed after Image 2512
Same starting point
Both routes can start from a text prompt. Image 2.1 allows prompts up to 5000 characters.
More references
Image 2.1 accepts 1 to 10 reference images and then treats the request as an edit.
A local mask
Image 2.1 can limit an edit to one masked region. That path needs exactly one reference and an opaque background.
Resolution tiers
Image 2.1 output is 1K or 2K, in PNG, WebP, or JPEG. Transparent backgrounds are PNG or WebP only.
Frame defaults
Text-to-image
With no reference, Image 2.1 defaults to 3:2. Supported ratios are 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3, 16:9, and 9:16.
Editing
With references, the default is auto, which keeps the first image’s ratio.
Prompt expansion
Expansion is on by default. Turn it off when words inside the image must stay exact.

What does a mask edit require?
Exactly one reference image, a mask URL, and an opaque background. It cannot be combined with JPEG transparency because transparency is not available for JPEG.
